Since the release of the television show of Roy Rogers, many items were made as souvenirs, toys and gifts. One of the classic toys was the Roy Rogers yo-yo. The Roundup King was a set made by Western Plastic Inc. The preferred colors were dark green, light green, and yellow. Some came in a complete boxed set. Collectors look for the boxed set, especially if they are in excellent condition.
One side of the yo-yo had a picture of Roy Rogers and Trigger on it, while the other side explained a contest to meet the pair. Incidentally, yo-yos were very popular toys for boys and girls in the 1950s, along with marbles and jacks!
