Any child who watched the Roy Rogers show wanted items just like their famous hero had, and of course, this called for the making of the Roy Rogers toys. Since the show was so phenomenally popular, just about everything from the show was redeveloped into a toy replica. There were guns, hats, badges, guitars, holsters, and play towns sets. Other toy sets included the chuck wagon, Nellybelle (the jeep), the two horses Trigger and Buttermilk, even Bullet, the dog.
Today these toys are not just collectible toys, but a part of television history. The show was loved by viewers everywhere, and of course, those viewers are not adults, remembering just how much they enjoyed the show, and the Roy Rogers toys. Owning a part of the legendary television show is easy, not to mention fun. Displays of guns, badges and other items make wonderful additions to any western or television collection.
