Unlike the budget, love for the show didn't cut short. Due to its highly generated fans, Dave Van Arnam and Ron Archer issued a Lost In Space book in 1967. Although keeping a similar concept, the book is not a follow-through of the television series. Instead, it is a combination of science fiction related short stories. The Lost In Space book is still in demand and has become a "must have" collectible item for science fiction readers.
